Following a surprise update to Final Fantasy 3 and 4 on iOS, which , Square Enix revealed the series at E3 2021 for iOS, Android, and Steam. This set of games was showcased briefly in a sizzle reel trailer but there were a lot of questions about which sprites or versions these releases were based on and how the games would release. Today, a with interviews and a sprite showcase that is now private revealed that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series will see individual releases for Final Fantasy to Final Fantasy 6 begin releasing from next month. Considering Final Fantasy 3 and Final Fantasy 4 on mobile were rebranded, there is a possibility that either the other games from 1 to 6 will be updated to the new Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series or delisted with new versions releasing individually. There is no word on pricing as well but it is safe to assume that Final Fantasy 3 and Final Fantasy 4 will be released on their own while the 3D remakes will seemingly still be available. The highlight of this series on mobile is that Final Fantasy 3‘s original release will finally be in English. For PC players, the new Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series will be the first time Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy 2 hit Steam.
