In (), the list of shortcuts groups shortcuts into three categories: System, Input, and Open Apps. This makes it easier for people to discover shortcuts. However, the buttons/tabs for these categories are placed quite high on the screen, making it difficult for people to access them. Well, Google is working on fixing that with .
According to , Android 15 QPR1 Beta 2 has code for a new shortcuts sheet. It has category tabs on the left side of the screen, as you can see in the screenshot below. The new layout makes it easier for people to access these tabs. Interestingly, it also offers a new category, Multitasking.
However, Mishaal had to enable the new keyboard shortcuts menu manually, which means that not everyone will be able to access it at the moment. Hopefully, Google will offer this layout as standard in the stable version of Android 15. We also hope that Samsung will implement this change in for Galaxy Tabs models.
