Autodesk has released an update to FeatureCAM 2020. This software automates your workflow from design to NC Code, reducing programming time and producing consistent results for CNC Milling, turning, and wire applications.

User interface
Fixed several issues that could cause FeatureCAM to close unexpectedly when users had a highly customized quick-access toolbar, particularly with drop-down buttons.
5-axis milling
Fixed an issue in which a 5-axis toolpath in some special cases could gouge the part when retracting.
Right-angle heads
Fixed an issue in which the posted NC code included incorrect negative X values that could result in a physical crash on the machine when using a right-angle head.
Simulation
Fixed an issue in which a boring bar tool was not correctly positioned in the center of the tool block during machine simulation.
Fixed an issue in which 3D simulation showed a gouge (incorrectly) for some swarf toolpaths, depending on the setting of Cut Feature Using Y Axis Coordinates. The centerline and machine simulation were not affected by this problem.
Add-ins
Added two parameters to the 'ini' settings for the Import Vise add-in to clarify the machining clamp configuration. Setting 'IsTurningChuck=1' indicates a chuck rather than a vise, and 'Is3JawsChuck=1' specifies that the chuck has 3 jaws rather than 4. These settings can now be used instead of including the word "CHUCK" in the models and 'vise' name. If not set, these values are implied by file name prefixes as before, so old behavior is not affected.
