Digital versions of board games have been a great way to make the games more accessible and easier to play when compared to their physical brethren, but there's something to be said for the social aspect of an actual board game night that the digital realm just cannot replicate. Dized is hoping to bring you the best of both worlds and offer an app that makes playing physical board games much easier. Dized, which has recently met its crowdfunding goal on IndieGoGo, wants to help you get over the "learning the rules" part of any board game and get straight to playing. The way it plans to do that is offering tutorials based on your actual playing of the physical board game, answering any questions you might have along the way, and only teaching you the rules you need to know for your current playthrough.

As someone who recently spent a night figuring out the rules for the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer board game, I appreciate any help that lets me get through the rule slog faster and into actually playing the game. The app offers a setup guide, keyword search to help get to the exact rule you're looking for, and more, and it will be free (with ads, of course). If you've ever tried to play a game like 7 Wonders, you'll know how long it takes before you can actually play 7 Wonders. Dized sounds like a great way to improve your board game nights, and I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on it.
