Samsung has released the latest software update to the international variant of the Galaxy A55 that’s sold in Europe, which carries the model number SM-A356B. It changes the version of the firmware to A356BXXU1AXBB. According to the changelog, it updates the phone’s “Regional LTE TDD band support.

. From what we could gather, this change improves the support for 4G Time Division Duplexing (TDD) of these devices.

The changelog also says “Please note that models purchased in Germany cannot receive signals in LTE TDD bands in the following countries: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Czech Republic.” Since this change is specific to Europe, we don’t expect Samsung to roll it out in other regions.

If you have the Galaxy A35 and live in Europe, your phone should automatically notify you about the update within the next couple of days. If it doesn’t, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Alternatively, you can also download it from
