It's been clear for a while now that Samsung is going to launch new smartwatches at its Unpacked event next month. There's going to be and it was to be accompanied by the new Galaxy Watch FE. Turns out, Samsung isn't waiting for Unpacked to launch this particular smartwatch.
Amid leaks and accidental listings on its own website, Samsung has now officially launched the Galaxy Watch FE. It's not on sale immediately, the company says it will be available for purchase starting June 24.
Since it's part of Samsung's FE or Fan Edition lineup, the is effectively a watered-down version of its more expensive smartwatches. It's got that characteristic Galaxy Watch circular design and is only available in one size, 40mm.
Available in Black, Pink Gold, and Silver colors, Samsung has introduced it with new watch bands to fresh the look and feel of this device. The one-click band makes it much easier for users to swap bands and change up their style whenever they want.
It's a pretty standard Samsung smartwatch otherwise. The durable body is topped with a sapphire crystal glass for added strength. Samsung's BioActive Sensor is onboard to provide a variety of health and fitness tracking features, including irregular heart rhythm notification, HR Alert to detect abnormally low or high heart rates, blood pressure monitoring, and ECG.
The smartwatch is capable of tracking more than 100 workouts while runners can get advanced running analysis to maximize efficiency. Body Composition data can also be tracked using this device.
A Bluetooth model will be released in the United States starting June 24, 2024, with the Galaxy Watch FE priced at $199. It will be available for purchase from Samsung's online store, major carriers, and retailers.
