News Fortnite Patch v24.40 Announced for May 17

Epic Games has announced server downtime for the final major update of Chapter 4 Season 2, scheduled to begin at 3 AM ET on May 17, 2023.

The Ranked journey is about to begin!

Downtime for v24.40 begins at 3 AM ET and matchmaking will be disabled shortly beforehand.

The v24.40 update will introduce Fortnite's new Ranked mode, remove Trios and add the Miles Morales cosmetics. As always, we'll be sharing the official patch notes once they go live.
