Galaxy M53 May 2023 security update is now live in Asia, Latin America

A new software update has started rolling out to the Galaxy M53 in some Asian and Latin American countries. The update comes bearing firmware version M536BXXS6EXE1 and includes the May 2024 security patch that fixes 45 security loopholes that were discovered by Google and Samsung in the previous software versions.

This is just a security update and doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements to the Galaxy M53. If you have a Galaxy M53 and live in Brazil, Bolivia, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Russia, or Ukraine, you can now install the new security update on your phone. To do that, open the Settings app on your phone, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install.

You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. For this process to work, you need access to a computer running Windows operating system and the Odin tool for manual firmware flashing.
