Currently, Samsung is rolling out the August 2024 security update to the international variant of the Galaxy M55, which has the model number SM-M556B. The software update carries firmware version M556BXXU3AXG7.
Apart from the latest security update, the new software update also improves the device's stability and reliability. To that extent, Samsung says “Device behavior has been improved.” However, the improvements might be so minute that you might not notice them.
To get the August 2024 security update on your Galaxy M55, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware from and install it using Odin. Samsung should roll the update out to other variants of the phone soon.
