. It is now being reported that the company has received over 250,000 pre-registrations for its latest high-end, S Pen-toting phablet. Samsung is rumored to bundle the DeX docking station and 100GB additional data for free with the Galaxy Note 8.

are being accepted through the company’s website as well as Amazon India’s website. Over 150,000 customers have shown interest in purchasing the phablet through Amazon, with 72,000 people registering within the first 24 hours. The remaining 100,000 pre-registrations came through Samsung India’s website.

The South Korean smartphone giant was aware that the next-generation iPhones would be unveiled on September 12, but the company still went through with its plan to launch the Galaxy Note 8 in India on the same day as it was confident of its strong position in India. According to GFK’s research numbers, Samsung has around 43 percent market share in India’s smartphone segment.
