Local media is reporting that Samsung has initially planned to manufacture 400,000 units of the Galaxy Ring. It opted for a wait and watch approach as the production would be increased if the market reception was favorable or kept at the same level if there wasn't a lot of interest in the product.
It appears that the initial demand has Samsung's expectations. Sources mentioned in the report claim that Samsung has now added 600,000 units to the initial production run, meaning that it's making a million units of the Galaxy Ring to meet the higher demand at launch.
