The reason is that Digidiced, the developer responsible for the lovely [] digital port, is bringing Agricola: All Creatures Big & Small to iOS and Android this summer. Agricola [], the farming sim set in 17th century Europe, is one of the most beloved board games - even though it's not the easiest. Agricola: All Creatures Big & Small takes the Agricola theme and turns it into a two-player game focused on animal husbandry. You'll be competing directly with the other player over resources and livestock and the honor of being the most competitive farmer ever.
The game will offer cross-platform multiplayer (but also CPU opponents) and a playback feature to help you learn from your mistake (and successes). The fact that it's just for two players should make it easier to find opponents to play with. As for the app, Digidiced has brought us some very nice digital ports recently - like Patchwork and Le Havre: The Inland Port - so I'm confident that Agricola: All Creatures Big & Small will be nicely ported over. The game should be coming out at some point this summer, so get ready to start breeding.
