during its recent earnings call, the chip was expected to be used in some Galaxy S25 series devices. However, this might not be the case, as all units reportedly use the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor globally.

earlier this week, we said that it is likely that the chip will be used in the Galaxy S25 series. Reliable tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) has now claimed that all the Galaxy S25 series devices—Galaxy S25,

They also claimed that Exynos 2500 and MediaTek 9400 chips won't be used in any Galaxy S25 variant. This news is excellent for Samsung fans who want to see only Qualcomm chips in flagship smartphones.

This year, Samsung used the Exynos 2400 chip in the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ in all the countries except Canada, China, and the USA. The Galaxy S24 Ultra used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy chipset worldwide.

While the Exynos 2400 was a huge improvement compared to previous-generation Exynos processors, it was still not as fast as competing flagship chips from Apple, MediaTek, and Qualcomm.

The Exynos 2500 was expected to be a huge leap forward due to its second-generation 3nm process from Samsung Foundry and newer-generation Arm CPU cores. However, it is rumored that Samsung can't make enough chips that pass quality testing, so Samsung had to drop the Exynos chip from the Galaxy S25 lineup.

For consumers, though, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip being used in all Galaxy S25 units is good news. Recent tests have shown that the chip is extremely fast. Its CPU is almost as fast as Apple's flagship chip, the A18 Pro, while its GPU is much faster and more power efficient than the A18 Pro. So, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to offer outstanding performance and good power efficiency.
