Dragon Hills [] busted onto the scene just about a year ago, and took the whole "diving in and out of the ground eating people and destroying things" gameplay first popularized by Death Worm [ / ] and gave it the lovely style and personality that developer Rebel Twins is known for. While the game was upon release, it never received any new content afterwards, which is a surefire way to be forgotten about in the tough App Store environment. Well, upon its one year anniversary, Rebel Twins has prepared a hefty update for Dragon Hills which will add new playable dragons called "King of Fire" and "Worminator", a new Pirate-themed environment, new enemies, and more. Check out the trailer for the new update.
As I mentioned, it can be tricky for a game to stay on the minds of gamers in the midst of overwhelming options on iOS without frequent updates. I was pretty obsessed with Dragon Hills when it came out last year, but it eventually ended up living a sheltered life in a folder somewhere on my device like so many games before it. After hearing about this new update I dove back in and remembered just how damn fun Dragon Hills is, and silently cursed myself for not playing it more. If you're in a similar boat, or perhaps missed out on it before, definitely give Dragon Hills a download, especially with all the new content set to hit the game next Thursday, April 7th.
