If You're Into Augmented Reality Games, Check out the Upcoming 'MovE'

When ARKit launched with iOS 11 it seemed like everyone and their third cousin twice removed was trying to figure out ways to shoehorn augmented reality aspects into their game with varying levels of success. Now that this trend has sort of settled down, it feels like we're seeing a second wave of ARKit games that use augmented reality in interesting ways instead of just rushing to market. Or, at least, that seems to be the case with MovE, an upcoming augmented reality ball rolling game.

As you can see in the above video, the game plays a lot like Labyrinth [

], but the puzzles themselves are rendered in the real world. You control things using a "laser pointer" in the game which reminds me of how you control a lot of the virtual reality experiences on mobile: You basically look at things through your iPhone camera, and interact with the game world based on what's in the center of your view.

Hopefully the game utilize depth in interesting ways, as Splitter Critters [
