News Impostors mode to be removed in v21.50

Fortnite has announced the surprising removal of the Impostors mode with tomorrow's v21.50 update.

Update v21.50 is set to release on August 30th! Downtime starts at 4:00 AM ET (08:00 UTC), with matchmaking being disabled 30 minutes prior.

The gamemode was originally introduced in August last year and has since received multiple updates, including the addition of proximity voice chat. Although Epic didn't provide a reason for the unexpected vaulting of the mode, it's thought to be a decision fuelled by low player counts.

It's likely we'll see a new gamemode take its place in the coming months. It's also possible that Impostors could return as a Limited Time Mode in the future. We'll keep you updated.
