Motorola has commenced rollout of the Marshmallow update to the Moto G Turbo Edition in India. The update — weighing in at 445MB — includes the Android December security update, as well as new features introduced in Android 6.0, such as Google Now on Tap, Doze, simplified app permissions, and more.

The update brings the firmware version to 24.11.22. If you've got the handset, head into the phone's settings to check if the OTA update is available.

Motorola launched the Moto G Turbo Edition in India in the month of December for ₹14,999 ($220), offering the Snapdragon 615 and Quick Charge capabilities. The price has since been slashed to ₹12,499 ($185). The introduction of the Turbo Edition has led to the standard Moto G 2015 — with the Snapdragon 410 — being discounted to ₹10,999 ($170). The standard model has already been updated to Marshmallow in the country.
