Video games let us delve into places we’d otherwise consider out of our reach, and PlayStation Store has a new slate of adventures to send you on this week. Play with powerful warplanes in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown or explore a different era in Onimusha: Warlords, crushing a few demons along the way.
There are plenty of new experiences to choose from over the next seven days, so let’s dive in.
1. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown
Live out your dreams of becoming an ace pilot and take to the skies in Bandai Namco’s action-packed flight simulator, and engage in wild dogfights in special missions built for PS VR. Pre-order and you’ll get a digital copy of Ace Combat: Squadron Leader to wet your appetite ahead of the new game’s release.
Have you ever wanted to race Clarkson, Hammond and May? Amazon Games Studios is releasing this episodic racing game alongside the third season of The Grand Tour. Each episode will feature the same fancy cars, locations and ridiculous challenges from the series that’ll make you feel like you’re playing the show.
Exploration fans should not miss out on this atmospheric adventure in which you shift between the forms – and perspectives – of bird and child. Explore a treacherous weather-beaten world, solve mysteries and witness how the game reacts to the path you’ve taken.
It’s been a long and perilous journey for Clementine. The latest episode Broken Toys picks up where Suffer the Children left off, as Clem and her companions search for their missing friends. Take one step closer to completing her gut-wrenching story and watch as she learns to become a leader.
Capcom is back with an updated version of its fan-favourite action adventure set in feudal Japan. Characters, environments and cinematics have all gotten a high definition upgrade with a widescreen option. Kick demon butt, rescue the princess and look even better doing it.
1. Resident Evil 2
Capcom has given this survival horror classic a full remake and fused exploration, puzzle-solving and survival elements of the original game with modern graphics, snappy combat and more areas to explore. If you can’t wait to get started, you can take a sneak peek at the horrors to come with Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo.
Kamehameha! Fight alongside Dragon Ball’s Goku as worlds collide and powerful manga characters drop into our world to battle it out. Spike Chunsoft serves up an all-action anime fighter with characters from One Piece, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh! and more.
