The earliest entry is dated June 27, so development on the next major Android and One UI update for these devices has been ongoing for some time.
This doesn't come as a surprise, of course. Samsung releases new versions of Android in the second half of each year, but testing begins months earlier. Adapting new versions of Android and One UI is a time-consuming process, and Samsung likes to get started as quickly as possible.
That's particularly true in 2024. Because of Galaxy AI, even minor One UI updates are now larger than usual. One UI 6.1 needed more time in the oven before making its way to eligible devices. The same appears to be true for , which has resulted in Samsung delaying the One UI 7.0 beta program, .
The Galaxy A53, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A73 will not be getting any Galaxy AI features with One UI 7. , including visual changes to the user interface.
