OnePlus says it'll stop collecting customers' private data

Recently, it came to light that Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has been collecting private data of its customers, including their phones' serial number, IMEI number, MAC addresses, as well as mobile network names and Wi-Fi SSIDs. The company quickly responded with a statement, saying the data is transmitted securely and is used to fine tune their software according to user behavior. They also provided a way through which this data sharing can be turned off.
