. Owners of the smartphone have long complained that the device hasn't received an update for some time, which the company has now addressed with this latest release. It's good to see that the OnePlus One hasn't been completely forgotten about just yet.

As noted in the official announcement, the OxygenOS team had to remove certain features. MaxxAudio technologies and apps were removed, alongside manual camera mode and RAW file format capabilities, fingerprint support and the screen temperature slider. What's positive about this release for OnePlus One owners is the new Dark Mode and accent color customization, support for custom icon packs, and more.

It's worth noting that this release of OxygenOS is not available OTA (Over The Air) and will require manual flashing just like previous iterations. Instructions and necessary files have been provided, as well as a word of warning: Do not try to flash this build through TWRP. There's a chance you may lose your radio and IMEI. This would result in contact with OnePlus support, which we're sure you'd much rather avoid and simply enjoy using your phone.

We strongly recommend you read through the provided instructions carefully. Head to the OnePlus forum (linked below) for more details on the release, as well as official files.
