The program will ask for a password and confirmation. The folder itself will immediately have its icon changed to the app's proprietary design. This is how you can keep track of your password-locked folders.
Doesn't need to be always launched
If you think the app needs to be run at all given times, you are wrong. When unlocking a folder, the app will automatically launch, requesting the set password. When the folder is unlocked, its icon is reverted to the original Windows one.
Relocking the folder means you have to repeat the whole process again. Advanced settings include the ability to set one password for all folders, and right-clicking the shortcut.
Password Folder is a great choice if you are looking to quickly lock sensitive information away from other users' reach. It does not provide complex options, meaning it does not seem like an efficient choice for use outside your household or certain smaller businesses. Still, its friendly approach gives basic and more advanced users the ability to increase their privacy in a quick way.
