Power Rangers are back, apparently. After a brief period in beta, Power Rangers: Legacy Wars [] has released worldwide, just a few days after the new movie premiered. Legacy Wars has you fighting against other players in real-time in arenas and locations from both the movie and the TV show. There are, of course, dozens of Power Rangers to unlock, including classic ones, as well as plenty of villains. The gameplay loop shouldn't surprise anyone used to playing these kinds of fighting games; you collect Rangers, use Zeo Shards to upgrade them, customize your team, fight, rinse and repeat.
Despite not offering anything too original in terms of gameplay, Power Rangers: Legacy Wars should be great fun for those who enjoy the show. The visuals are quite good, and the ability to build alliances—which allow you to chat, trade, and share tactics with your team members—should make it fun to play with friends. You can even watch replays of your alliance members' fights and also follow your favorite players. The game is , of course, free-to-play and is available now.
