Well, Rock Band isn’t making a come back on iOS in terms of gameplay, but the folks at Harmonix have released Rock Band Companion [], which is a new app for fans of the series that picked up Rock Band Rivals, a new expansion pack for Rock Band 4. While you can’t actually play any songs in Rock Band Companion, you can easily check your personal stats as well as keep an eye on your ‘Crew,’ the new team-based mechanic debuting in Rivals. In fact, you can do pretty much all the administrative Crew functions in the app, such as invite new members, edit the name of your Crew, or even chat as well as monitor their progress in the weekly challenges.
Obviously if you don’t have Rivals this new app doesn’t have any value for you. However, if you are engaged in the expansion, this is a very well-put together companion for you to check out.
