Our sources tell us that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Book 4 Edge sooner than you might think.

reconfirmed that the Galaxy Book 4 Edge exists and is coming.

When? Well, here's the good news! We obtained more information from our sources who have just confirmed with us that Samsung wants to reveal the Galaxy Book 4 Edge before the end of May.

The Galaxy Book 4 Edge will be an ARM-based laptop, similar to the latest Apple MacBooks. However, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite SoC, which looks very promising in early benchmarks.

This new chip and the transition to ARM might give Samsung's laptop an edge in battery life and efficiency over the other Galaxy Book 4 variants, all of which are based on 64-bit x86 Intel processors.

One remaining big mystery surrounding Samsung's upcoming ARM laptop has to do with its name, as the “Edge” moniker raises many questions. Previously, Samsung used the Edge name to describe smartphones equipped with curved displays that wrap around the edges. But, so far, no Galaxy laptop has had a design that required the Edge designation.

Perhaps it's just a way for Samsung to create a link between the ARM-powered mobile world and its ARM Galaxy laptop, or maybe there's more to it than that. We'll find out later this month when Samsung should unveil the Galaxy Book 4 Edge officially.
