, most likely since the format was co-created by Samsung. So even though most high-end TVs now have Dolby Vision support, Samsung continues to go against the grain.

It doesn't seem to oppose bringing Dolby Vision support to your car, though. Samsung Display has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dolby to bring this high dynamic range image technology to automotive OLED panels.

Given that Samsung Display supplies the panels for many of Samsung's high-end TVs, would this closer relationship between the two companies eventually lead to a scenario where Samsung finally brings Dolby Vision support to its TVs? I wouldn't bet money on that just yet.
