SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design 2020 SP 2020-2 | 250.9 mb
Construction software maker SOFiSTiK has launched a new version of SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design its structural analysis of buildings and member design directly in Autodesk Revit.

New Features of Version 2020
- A dedicated Dynamo package 'SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design' is available on the Dynamo Package Manager allowing to control the calculation process in Revit and to extract analysis results and other data from a SOFiSTiK database.
- The new command 'Filter Loads' enables checking and selective display of Revit loads in the model.
- SOFiSTiK Structural Properties are now available for Revit Boundary Condition elements
- The user-defined assignment of SOFiSTiK structural element numbers is now possible for analytical models.
- Structural point numbers can now be assigned to analytical nodes allowing to easily identify these points later.
- A new Structural Property enables the definition of Cables and Truss elements in the model.
- A new command 'SOFiSTiK Data Management' allows us to control, adjust and purge SOFiSTiK related information like sections and materials saved in the Revit file.
- The user can now set the folder to be used as a working directory for all SOFiSTiK-related files of the project
- Changing the data source of a design group (e.g. main or subsystem) is now possible by right mouse click on the Design Browser
- The calculation and design reports (*.plb files) can be exported as Word (*.docx) files
- The results preview of the column design dialog now displays the reinforcement ratio.

Features
- A new dialog allows to visualize and adjust the reinforcement of non-standard polygonal cross sections (e.g. sections with arbitrary polygonal shape or wall sections of Design Elements).
- The automatic cross section mapping creates reinforcement layers for non-standard polygonal concrete sections.
- New command 'Create Result Cut Line': cut lines drawn within analytical surfaces can be exported to SOFiSTiK to visualize cut line results within the program Graphic.
- The user directly accesses Revit's ribbon Place Lines when using the commands 'Create Tendon Projection', 'Create Tendon Station' or 'Create Result Cut Line'.
- Changes in the Graphical User Interface for a better integration of the new commands under group Utilities.
- Using the new SOFiSTiK Structural Property 'Intersect' the user can define if a Truss/Cable element should intersect with other elements of the model.
- New Nodes available in the Dynamo interface, allowing to export subsystems and mainsystems, calculate any Teddy File and read Tendon informations.
Bugfixes
- Beam Design: Recognition of the support situation has been improved (167521).
- Automatic Cross Section Mapping: Correction in the generation of minimum shear reinforcement values.
- Improvement in the generation of point loads.
- Fixed issue in the export of results to Excel.

SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design allows to generate a 3D Finite-Element model from an Autodesk Revit analytical model including loads and boundary conditions. The generation of the Finite Element Model can be started directly from within Revit. Additional commands allow to control the mapping of materials, sections and load natures or to check the analytical model prior to meshing.
Using the SOFiSTiK Structural Properties Tab the building members in Revit can be attributed with additional analysis properties in addition to the Revit Properties Tab. It allows for example to set grouping information, to control meshing properties on an element level or to assign boundary hinges on walls and slabs.
Immediate review of the generated Finite Element Model and results is possible by starting i_animator_revit the System Visualization. Detailed review of the results is possible directly within Revit by importing the FEA results as a Revit Result Package.
SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design for Revit also provides a number of auxiliary commands allowing for example to check Revit'a analytical model or to generate so called ''Subsystem'' based on Revit views (''Subsystem Views'') for a detailed analysis of partial models.
SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design performs structural analysis of buildings and member design directly in Autodesk Revit.
