A new solution for network research.
SONAR PC is a simple program for checking restrictions on stationary (wired) Internet.
Just download and launch SONAR (the main thing is without a VPN), and find out what restrictions your provider has now! White lists or manipulation of DNS are no longer so scary: when you know about the problem, it is much easier to solve.
✦ Use: ✦click on run.bat
open or terminal, cd to this folder, and run this command:
python3 run.py
✦ Main purpose of the program: ✦Whitelisting: SONAR scans the availability of nearly 4000 resources in total from the whitelist and checklist, and gives the result how much is available in each of them.
Checking the presence of manipulation with DNS: SONAR tries to contact all resources from our list through 11 different DNS, including international and Ru, and shows accessibility statistics.
Why is it necessary? Regular checks on the state of the network will help us find out what is happening and prepare recommendations on how to establish communication even in the most difficult conditions.
To fully use the program, get the key in our support (): this will help you automatically send the test results. But you can check the network without a key: then the results will be saved only on your computer!

✦ Additional information: ✦To check white listings, SONAR is testing the availability of nearly 4000 sites and other resources. In addition, the program refers to the audited resources through 11 Ru and foreign DNS services and shows the statistics of their availability. The developers recommend checking without a VPN.
SONAR can be used without registration: in this case, the results of the check are saved only on the user's computer. To automatically send data to the project "On communication" you need to get a special key through its support service. The authors of the project expect to use the collected results to study how Ru providers restrict Internet access, and to prepare recommendations for circumvention of such restrictions.

If you install via Python installer 26.3
then after installation open cmd -> py install 3
thereby launching the download and installation of the directly necessary environment for the execution of commands.
