The game has you teaming with other NPC survivors as you all try to make it through each day and survive the zombie apocalypse. In order to do so, you have to go out on dangerous scavenging runs to gather important resources and recruit other survivors. You'll also craft equipment, defend your rickety camp from the hordes of the dead, and make all kinds of decisions that will influence the outcome of the game's story.
The game uses a turn-based combat system for when you tangle with those poor, misunderstood zombies. And the game has permadeath, which makes every decision count more.
