Despite confirming Samsung as one of the partners that will launching Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered devices in the “coming weeks,” Qualcomm refused to offer any more details, including whether the Snapdragon 8 Elite will have a, just like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 “for Galaxy” chips in 2023 and 2024.

However, for the head of Samsung's mobile division to make an appearance on stage, even as other partners like Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg sent video messages, signifies in clear terms how important Qualcomm and Snapdragon has become for the company, as Samsung's reliance on high-end Snapdragon chipsets has increased for its flagship Galaxy S Ultra and the Galaxy Z foldable phones series in .
