Following a successful , Epic Games has announced a new offer for Fortnite players worldwide. For a limited time, players who redeem a V-Bucks card will unlock the unreleased Midnight Scythe Pickaxe as a bonus digital item. The promotion is live at the time of writing, and will run until April 14, 2024, giving players four weeks to add this free item to their Lockers.
Those who purchase and redeem a V-Bucks card from the following participating countries during the promotion period will automatically receive the Midnight Scythe Pickaxe in Fortnite:

- Austria
- Belgium
- Canada
- France
- Germany
- Ireland
- Italy
- Japan
- Netherlands
- New Zealand
- Portugal
- Spain
- United Kingdom
- United States
Although the offer is currently exclusive to V-Bucks codes, the Pickaxe itself "may become purchasable in the Fortnite Shop at a later date", according to . It's worth noting that the same has been said about previous limited-exclusive cosmetics in the past, most of which are yet to be released through the shop.
