We went at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024 a few hours ago. While Samsung didn't showcase at the event, we managed to spend some time with the next big version of One UI. Our video captured the new animations, blur effects, and transitions.
A few weeks ago, it was that One UI 7.0 would bring improved animations and transitions, which is true. We noticed that animations have more bounce and fluidity. Transitions are smoother, too, at least compared to One UI 6.1.1. Moreover, you can see a stronger background blur effect across the app drawer, notifications pane, quick settings panel, and the multitasking menu (Task Switcher). The Task Switcher now displays a slightly stacked style on One UI 7.0. In comparison, One UI 6.1.1's Task Switcher is a lot simpler. Moreover, there is a bit of distance between an app's card and the app icon in the new Task Switcher UI. There is no search button on the multitasking screen, which is another change compared to One UI 6.1.1.
Samsung announced that it will release the beta version of One UI 7.0 for developers (and likely consumers) before the end of this year. The stable version will be released alongside the Galaxy S25 series early next year. The series is expected to be .
