The AI-integrated chip technology will not only make it easier to track a headset user’s hands, controllers and eyes during use, it will also deliver better display resolution per eye. The Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip will offer up to 4.3k by 4.3k resolution per eye, as well as upgraded raw image processing and full color display.
Cristiano Amon, the CEO of Qualcomm is also going to focus on generative artificial intelligence and how Snapdragon platforms will integrate AI on devices from smartphones to PC gaming systems. Amon’s keynote is in alignment with the company’s overall move towards investing in , which we saw in its recently revealed mobile chipset for Android devices.
