To tackle the problem, Google started testing a redesigned overflow menu on iOS in October 2023 with three large buttons at the top of the sheet for Play next, Save to playlist, and Share. These are some of the options that people use the most, and highlighting those options with larger buttons makes accessing them easier and using the music streaming app more convenient than before.
After almost three months, the company is now rolling out the redesign widely. It is worth mentioning that Google is rolling out the change only on iOS. The company hasn’t made it available on yet. You can find the new feature in version 6.34 of the YouTube Music app for iOS. Expect Google to bring the redesigned overflow menu on the YouTube Music app for Android in the next few days.
