Up until now, the app for gave you two ways to search for content on the video streaming platform. You could type what you are looking for in the search bar or you could use the voice input button to tell the app what you are looking for. Well, YouTube for Android now gives you a third option, the ability to use Google Lens to search for content on the platform.
According to , the YouTube app for Android now offers a button with the Google Lens icon between the search bar and the voice input button. When you click on this button, the YouTube app opens Google Lens, which sees through your phone’s camera, recognizes the objects, shows you what you are looking at, and gives you the option to search that text on YouTube.
This feature lets you search for something that you are looking at, on YouTube.
